 In
the south of the state is found the legendary Valle de Santiago and its
Seven "Luminarias", a formation of seven extinct volcanos. It is said that
these formations are in conjunction with the Big
Bear constellation. The volcanic craters, called "hoyas" that can be visited are: "La Alberca", the "Hoya de Alvárez o de Flores" the most pretty and mysterious
of all them, the "Hoya de Cíntora", the "Hoya de Old Parangueo" and the "Hoya de Rincon deParangueo", which has a tunnel of 300 m. long that leads
to the salty lake that is in its interior.
