 The
industrial city of Leon is well-known as the “Footwear World-wide Capital”. The city has industries that produce leather goods of excellent quality. There are fairs every year in CONEXPO, theCenter of Exhibitions for great magnitude events at world-wide
level.
In January don´t forget to visit the Fair of Leon with great
attractions and typical food. To get fun the rest of the year there are
recreational parks like the Metropolitan Park, the Museum of Sciences
and Park Explora, the Zoo, iceskating, Commercial Centers, and the town, with colonial
buildings, etc. Enjoy the night in the
different bars and restaurants of excellent quality and for all the
pleasures.
Culture and art are also very important for the city, the just inagurated Guanajuato Cultural Center and the already existing "Teatro Doblado", the House of the Culture and the Museum of the city
offer events and exhibitions all the year, being the most importants, the FIAC and
events of FIC (Festival Internacional Cervantino) in León during the same dates
than in the city of Guanajuato.
