years ago there was a dream, today it becomes reality. The 7 of
September 2006 the first stage of the Guanajuato Cultural Center was
inaugurated, the Library, that offers more than 200.000 volumes in a
space for 2.400 users a day, methods of reading in braille, and an area specialized for children and babies, stimulating culture from childhood.
 The architectonic work is constructed in an area of almost 9 has., and
is a project of the architect Didi Pei. The remaining buildings have
a considered date of inauguration for February of 2007 (Regional Museum)
and July 2008 (Theater) .
In
the Guanajuato Cultural Center you can enjoy a good book, outdoors
spectacles, exhibitions and guided visits, cinema, courses
for all ages, or simply take a walk in the gardens and
the "Calzada de las Artes". In addition the Degree of
Culture and Arts is already giving.
There are free activities from 11:00 to 21:00 all weekends . You will find events for all ages all the year.
