The city of Guanajuato is provided with big variety of historical and thematic museums. Some of the most important are:

Museum ex-Hacienda San Gabriel de Barrera: It is installed in the residence of the estate that makes alike an ancient Spanish palace surrounded with his beautiful 17 thematic gardens: the Oriental garden, English, the Mexican, that of the Queen and that of the Orange trees, between others. It is provided with a chapel that lodges the maximum jewel of the estate, the most beautiful Gothic Spanish, original reredos of the cathedral of Jaén, Spain of the XVth century.
